The Neonatal Unit at CHUS – Hôpital Fleurimont treats premature babies and full-term babies with health issues.
Information for Parents
The care team will be with you throughout your stay. They will help your baby feel comfortable and recover, while supporting you every step of the way.

Skin-to-skin
We encourage you to practice skin-to-skin contact, which means holding your baby close against your chest. There are many benefits for both your child and you.
Information for Visitors
Before your visit, watch the “Welcome to the Neonatal Unit” video, which includes infection prevention guidelines and visiting rules.
Are you sick? To protect the babies’ health, please stay home.
Authorized Visitors
- Siblings (brothers, sisters, half-brothers, half-sisters, twins)
- Designated significant others (a maximum of four throughout the entire hospitalization)
- One additional visitor per day
A maximum of three people at a time is allowed at the child’s bedside (including parents, siblings, significant others, and visitors).
Visiting Hours
- Parents and significant others: at any time
- Siblings and visitors: between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m.
Please note: Staff reserve the right to end a visit depending on the health of the baby or the siblings.
